The Mary Queen of Scots Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
Our flagship product is blended by Ian Macleod Distillers in Broxburn, near Edinburgh. It comprises a minimum of 12 Premier Single Malts, all 12 years old, to reflect the 12 years in total which Mary Queen of Scots spent in Scotland. Premier Malts use only the best Scots barley in the distilling process to achieve the traditional unique flavour which is the pride of Scotland and beyond.
You can taste the blend, by the glass, at any of the three main hotels in Kinross, the Kirklands, the Green and the Windlestrae, as well as in the Tap Room of the Loch Leven Brewery, opposite the Green.
You may buy a bottle at Loch Leven's Larder on the eastern side of the Loch, which is well signposted throughout the town, as well as in either Giacopazzi's village store in Kinross or Milnathort.
In Scotland's Capital, bottles are sold in the Crown Gift Shop at Edinburgh Castle, the highest built whisky outlet in Scotland, as well as at the Whisky Castle shop in Tomintoul, which happens to be the highest natural whisky outlet in Scotland. Appropriately the Crown Gift Shop is next to the Scottish Crown Jewels used in Mary's Coronation in 1543. More than any other place in Scotland, the top of Edinburgh Castle treats the visitor to a very close-up experience and atmosphere of the life and times of this iconic Scottish Queen.
Additionally, in Edinburgh, one can buy bottles from Royal Mile Whiskies, opposite St. Giles in the High Street and also from the Blacksmith's Shop at Gretna Green.
Mail Order service is available through Master of Malt.
